Tan Chuan Hong: Encouraging party members prepare for the 15th National Election with slogan: Booming Bagan, start with me!
Penang MCA Vice Chairman and 15th General Election Steering Committee Chairman Tan Chuan Hong pointed out that to win Bagan’s 1 Parliament 3 State Seat, Bagan MCA internally chose slogan “Booming Bagan, start with me!” to boost the morale of party members and prepare well for election campaign.
He said this when MCA Penang State Chairman Datuk Tan Teik Cheng visited MCA Bagan Division.
He revealed the slogan as a reminder for all party members to keep these 4 important points in mind.
(1) Understand the central government’s policies and to share to the public so that the people can clearly understand the various benefits and conveniences provided by the central government;
(2) Fighting fake news, seeking truth and rebutting, focus attention to the smearing information issued by political opponents, quickly verify and restore the truth, and make a timely counterattack;
(3) Bravely speak up for local livelihood and injustices issues;
(4) Ensure good servicing and put people first. Party cadres are urged to do their best to solve the problems faced by the people through the channels of the central government.
Tan Chuan Hong believed that people of Bagan now understand how DAP suppressed TARUC and persecuted charity acts (Adventist Hospital, Hospital Lam Wah Ee and Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital) and implemented cross generation property tax, sugar tax and more during 22 months of DAP in power, these are still fresh in everyone mind and will not forgotten.
He encouraged party members to support each other, unite, treat others with sincerity, work hard, and persevere to win back every vote from Bagan people.
On the other hand, MCA Vice President and Penang State Chairman Datuk Tan Teik Cheng had an in-depth session with local party members, reported the party's position and direction on the latest issues. At the same time, he also announced that Tan Chuan Hong was officially appointed by Barisan Nasional as the chairman of the Bagan Barisan Nasional Coordinating Committee on 1st June 2020, and led the Bagan in preparation for the 15th National General Election.
At the same day, whom had presented were given a comprehensive and in-depth discussion on Bagan’s strategy and guidance to win the 15th National Election.
