Tan Chuan Hong: Three celebrations showing diversity, harmony, and patriotism.
Penang MCA Vice Chairman and 15th General Election Steering Committee Chairman Tan Chuan Hong said that National Day, Malaysia Day and Hungry Ghost Festival can be celebrated together, which reflects diversity inherited by the Barisan Nasional government in the past.
"MCA, as a Chinese race-based party that fights for the rights of all Malaysians, will continue to uphold the values of inclusiveness, moderation and diversity."
He pointed out that everyone knows that MCA was established before Merdeka. MCA has always been defending the rights and interests of the Chinese community, just like defending democracy and freedom and justice to build a Malaysia for all.
Tan Chuan Hong is also MCA Bagan Division Chairman. He said only the Barisan Nasional is an alliance of political parties that embodies multi-cultural Malaysia which promotes racial harmony and national unity since the founding of the country, when attending the three-in-one National Day, Malaysia Day and Hungry Ghost Festival celebration organized by Bagan MCA division on Saturday night.
In addition, Tan Chuan Hong bombarded DAP who relies on Chinese votes to survive has pursued false democracy. DAP said, "I am not representing Chinese community, I am just representing Malaysians" after they won federal power in 2018, which had seriously hurt the Chinese community. It is a political party that represents the Chinese community in the government, but why they denied to represent the Chinese community when they got government positions?"
"These politicians will swindle the Chinese votes when the general election is coming. After the general election, they will discard the position of fighting for the rights of the Chinese community."
